Reactive Robotics is developing robots for very early movement (VEM) rehabilitation after stroke and orthopedic joint replacement using a patented, modular system, targeting the โ‚ฌ2.4 billion ICU Rehabilitation Robotics market. Intensive VEM therapy allows stroke and joint replacement patients to leave the costly ICU at least a day earlier while achieving better clinical outcomes. Currently, no robotic solution exists to automate the labor-intensive VEM process while fully integrating into ICU workflowsโ€”Reactive Robotics aims to fill this gap.
