Securing venture capital (VC) investment depends on a variety of factors within a specific, dynamic environment. Therefore, adopting a VC investor’s perspective when pitching your business can be crucial. This workshop offers valuable insights that will deepen your understanding of a VC investor’s goals and search criteria. We will cover, reflect on and discuss implications of the VC business model, different investor mindsets, and a selection of typical pitch formulations and VC investor statements. Furthermore, we will examine the founder skills and competencies sought by VC investors and how these are observed throughout the investment process.

Dr. Anne von Wolff coaches founders in successfully managing entrepreneurial challenges. As a former VC investor, management consultant, neuroscientist, and psychologist, she shares firsthand practical experience, applies systematic, scientifically grounded approaches, and combines analytical thinking with empathy.

From 12th to 14th May, ESA BIC Bavaria will be enjoying sunny Seville at the 3rd ESA Earth Observation Commercialisation Forum (ESA CommEO), coming together with the global Earth observation ecosystem for three days of insight, innovation, and high-level networking.

The Forum will feature an engaging programme including keynote speeches, panel discussions, exhibitor booths, and curated matchmaking opportunities designed to foster new partnerships and boost commercial growth within the Earth observation sector.

The Client Business Game + Sales Workshop is hands-on working session focused on translating your technology into a clear, market-ready business case. At the core of the workshop is a “Business Game”: you will work through a structured mock business scenario that simulates real market conditions. Using this case, we will practice how to define value, position a solution, engage a customer, and build a commercially credible offer—allowing you to test and develop business skills in a safe but realistic environment.
