Versatile Robotics

Sensitive interactions require robot controllers that can react flexibly. Such controllers currently still have stability/safety problems, low precision and high tuning costs. We offer the first generic full-body controller including AI software for robots that provides stability, safety, precision and prevents vibrations and overshoot. We operate in both upstream domains, integrating our software into robotic arms, and downstream activities, leveraging data tracked through our software. Application fields are for example on-orbit servicing and planetary exploration.

Project-S

The growing space debris problem, especially 1–10 cm fragments, threatens satellites and missions, with over 900,000 objects in orbit. Traditional ground-based and optical tracking is limited by atmosphere, line-of-sight, and darkness. Project-S tackles this with an AI-driven, radar-based CubeSat system. Its active microwave radar detects small debris in all conditions, while AI onboard and deep learning on the ground provide real-time, accurate tracking.

VORTEX Aerotec

VORTEX is developing Ventus, a fuel-cell-powered long-range eVTOL drone for middle mile logistics, offering 500 km range, 50 kg payload capacity, and rapid five-minute refueling. Unlike short-range battery drones or gas turbine competitors, Ventus combines low emissions, large cargo space, and compact design with GNSS-PPP precision navigation for safe BVLOS operations. Backed by IP in aerodynamics, hybrid power control, and fuel cell integration, the experienced VORTEX team is targeting a fast-growing $3B market with a scalable OEM approach.

Pelora

Pelora enables high-precision indoor positioning for assets, vehicles, and people — combining high accuracy, cost efficiency, and unique app-free smartphone tracking.

excav

Excav has developed a plug-and-play RTK-GNSS system that brings mm-precise earthwork and surveying to any construction machine without costly modifications. Protected by two patents and validated on real sites, our solution opens access to advanced digital construction for companies of all sizes. We plan to launch in Bavaria in 2024 and expand rapidly across German-speaking markets and worldwide.

Orbint

Orbint is a spin-off from the SeRANIS project, funded by dtec.bw at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich. The company pioneers a novel approach to space-based radio frequency monitoring, enabling customers to conduct global reconnaissance across the electromagnetic spectrum. By deploying a distributed satellite network, Orbint can detect, identify, and precisely geolocate a wide variety of signals in near real-time. This capability provides customers with a reliable and up-to-date operational picture, delivering actionable insights to support decision-making in security-critical and strategic applications.

Eighth Dimension

Eighth Dimension is an AI-powered software ecosystem that instantly transforms off-the-shelf drones into autonomous agents capable of operating without GPS. It boosts payload capacity by up to 100%, extends flight time by 20 minutes, and amplifies processing power tenfold.
