eGaIT, by Portabiles HealthCare Technologies GmbH (to be founded), is a wearable sensor system that analyzes gait. Patients suffering from chronic diseases with gait impairments can wear the sensors wherever they go at any time. eGaIT consists of sensors that are attached to the side of both shoes with a clip; the sensor data are transferred wirelessly to a data hub. Gait parameters are calculated and displayed to a physician on a tablet-PC or by using a telehealth platform.
