VIDA is a map-based platform. It fuses different data sources – from satellite imagery and public datasets to on-ground surveys or sensor data – and applies analytical algorithms to them. Information is displayed in an interactive map that allows users to plan, assess, monitor and communicate about activities in villages and cities across the African continent. VIDA helps investors, banks, companies, and governments of African countries make more transparent, better and faster data-based decisions that support growth and development, such as sustainable energy access, more resilient and viable smallholder agriculture, e-commerce or mobility.
VIDA is a Copernicus and “German Innovation Award for Climate and Environment” (IKU) award winner.
The funding ask is 2M€+ to scale its technology in new markets.
