With salt cores to complex carbon parts.
The production processes currently used for hollow carbon parts are subject to considerable limitations: complex removal processes, unstable core materials and expensive molds. All of this is especially true for small to mid-size series. The solution lies in the use of the CAVICORE salt core.
The salt core itself is a “lost core” and serves as a placeholder for internal cavities and structures. After completion of the part, the salt core can simply be washed out with tap water. The mineral salt cores produced by CAVICORE have the advantage of being highly temperature-resistant, stable and water-soluble. There is no need for expensive molding tools, the cores are manufactured mechanically. The cores are also environmentally friendly, they consist of pure salts such as sodium chloride and are manufactured without the addition of binders.
