TerraLens

TerraLens, a spin-off from the German Aerospace Center (DLR), offers cutting edge solutions to exploit EO data for political and strategic decision making. We fill the gap between scientific prototyping and operational requirements by implementing state-of-the-art algorithms into professional software solutions for security-relevant applications. Our automatic monitoring solutions enable non-technical end-users to easily define their specific problem, analyze vast amounts of data with little effort, interact with the original data and the extracted insights, and take actions based on these insights.

Versatile Robotics

Sensitive interactions require robot controllers that can react flexibly. Such controllers currently still have stability/safety problems, low precision and high tuning costs. We offer the first generic full-body controller including AI software for robots that provides stability, safety, precision and prevents vibrations and overshoot. We operate in both upstream domains, integrating our software into robotic arms, and downstream activities, leveraging data tracked through our software. Application fields are for example on-orbit servicing and planetary exploration.

VORTEX Aerotec

VORTEX is developing Ventus, a fuel-cell-powered long-range eVTOL drone for middle mile logistics, offering 500 km range, 50 kg payload capacity, and rapid five-minute refueling. Unlike short-range battery drones or gas turbine competitors, Ventus combines low emissions, large cargo space, and compact design with GNSS-PPP precision navigation for safe BVLOS operations. Backed by IP in aerodynamics, hybrid power control, and fuel cell integration, the experienced VORTEX team is targeting a fast-growing $3B market with a scalable OEM approach.

BLACKWAVE

Blackwave helps customers from the mobility sector to save weight in a cost-efficient manner. A weight reduction of 100kg at conventional combustion car leads to fuel savings of 0,7l per 100 km or 4 tons of CO2 over the entire vehicle service life. Therefore, Blackwave is developing and producing lightweight solutions out of carbon fiber sheet molding compound (Carbon-SMC). This process is able to create geometrically complex carbon fiber reinforced plastic parts (CFRP) with high mechanical properties. Unlike conventional manufacturing methods, Carbon-SMC can be automated easily, has short cycle times, generates virtually no production waste and is therefore particularly inexpensive.

blik solves the problem of poor data quality in logistics by means of real-time data on all product locations and states detected by means of sensor units. By using the data, blik allows for more efficient storage, reduction of processes and the optimization of goods flows.The product contains of sensor units attached to load carriers. They continue to continuously transmit their state and location to a software backend over the air. Based on this data, real-time analyses can be carried out over the entire stock of goods and goods flow. This enables companies to continuously improve storage processes and to react immediately to changes in planning.
