Hearty welcome to terraplasma medical

The ESA BIC Bavaria family welcomes its new incubate terraplasma medical GmbH, which is developing an innovation for wound treatment. Infections caused by pathogenic bacteria provide a growing challenge for in the healthcare sector causing considerable costs. Based on a technology patented at the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics, terraplasma medical GmbH is developing a portable, battery-powered cold plasma device - plasma care - for the treatment of chronic and acute wounds for the professional market. The plasma care enables the inactivation of all sorts of bacteria in the wound - including particularly dangerous and resistant germs such as MRSA - without causing any pain, side effects or allergic reactions.
