ProgenoX enlarging robotics portfolio with ARGO UGV

ESA BIC Bavaria alumnus progenoX is supporting the rollout and sale of ARGO J5, an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) designed for harsh environments. ARGO J5 serves as a support tool, especially for public authorities and organizations that work in public safety (police, fire brigade, emergency services). In these cases, progenoX cooperates closely with space companies in order to ensure the transition between environments with and without GPS coverage (tunnels, garages, etc). For further use cases, please see more

ProgenoX
ProgenoX is using Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) systems and services to provide firefighters with technical and logistical support, thus they are ensuring safer firefighting operations. ProgenoX's robot systems are designed and built for operation under challenging firefighting conditions. Multi-wheel drive and tracks provide for high mobility and can overcome most obstacles on difficult terrain, while an array of sensors and cameras enable firefighters to perform reconnaissance and exploration. Finally, the systems' high-speed capabilities, tremendous lifting and handling capacity, and wide range of special tools provide firefighters with essential technical and logistical support.

ESA Business Incubation Centre Bavaria
ProgenoX was incubated at the ESA BIC Bavaria from February 2012 to July 2013. The ESA BIC Bavaria seeks entrepreneurs using space technologies in a non-space environment. That doesn't mean rocket science, but applies to multiple application fields such as navigation and positioning, communications techniques, Earth observation, materials, processes, signals or robotics.

ESA's Business Incubation Centre Bavaria was launched in 2009 and is since managed by Anwendungszentrum GmbH Oberpfaffenhofen (AZO). ESA BIC Bavaria and its renowned partners - DLR, Airbus Defense and Space, Fraunhofer IIS and Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft Berchtesgadener Land - provide startups with financial and technical support at four branch offices: Oberpfaffenhofen, Ottobrunn, Nürnberg and Berchtesgadener Land.
