evalu Completed Seed Investment Round

The Munich startup and ESA BIC Bavaria incubatee evalu develops the first mobile running coach working with artificial intelligence (AI) to the optimal training for athletes. Now they completed their Seed Investment Round and succeeded in securing private investors and the High-Tech Gründerfonds as investor. We congratulate the future-oriented startup to this achievement which will boost their business even more.

evalu.run is an app using artificial intelligence. The digital sport coach works in combination with an ergonomic in-shoe sensor, specifically designed for running shoes. By measuring the ground reaction forces, running style and technique, weaknesses and problems are evaluated. Based on biomechanical parameters the running coach provides personalised feedback in real time. Thereby, evalu.run helps runners to improve their running experience in a customised way. Runner-specific strength exercises are automatically integrated into the training schedule, in order to remove the weak points of the runner.

evalu is joining ESA BIC Bavaria for one and a half years to optimise their geo-location performance and provide state of the art accuracy in tracking and evaluating the runner.

ESA BIC Bavaria has four selection rounds each year. The next application deadline for the incubation programme is 7 November 2016. Apply now for ESA BIC Bavaria
